Solar
Solar systems are a great way to save money by using the sun to heat your hot water. This works by the water passing through collectors mounted on your roof, heating the water up to 100°C.
Things to consider when installing solar

- Hi Line system (this is where the tank is mounted on the roof, with the collectors)
- Lo Line system (this where the tank is down on the ground)

Gas
Gas is the next best energy efficient system, next to solar and is 40% cheaper than electric to run. At present the Government is giving a $300 rebate when replacing an electric hot water service for a 5 Star Rating Gas Heater. There are 3 types of heater s to consider when purchasing a gas heater.
