Just the other day we recieved a phone call from a client of ours, who on return from holiday, came home to realies that her water bill had DOUBLED from her previous water bill. The first thing she did was call us here at Curl Curl Plumbing. At first she thought it was a cracked pipe. The Technicians arrived at her house that same day to identify that the presumed cracked pipe was instead - a leaking toilet. You might have a leaking toilet and you dont even know. To see if you have a leaking toilet simply put food dye in your cistern and if the colouring comes out into the bowl your cistern is leaking. Call Curl Curl Plumbing with this diagnosis and one of our qualified technicians will arrive to repair your toilet back to working order.
1. Update taps or have the washers replaced by a Licenced Plumber.
2. Make sure toilets aren't leaking bu putting Food Coluring in the cistern - if colouring appears in the Bowl without flushing the cistern is leaking.
3.When choosing a new dishwasher, select a water-efficient model with AAA or higher rating.
4. Only do washing when there is a full load.
5. Install a hot pump with a spa bath to maintain the Water Temperture. This saves having to top upa spa with hot water.
